Man Falls From the Skies!!!
Allen Marsh continues, and the Rise of Shank.
January 12, 2011

I recently took a look at the current wave of Science
Fiction movies that are coming out soon (this year, next
year, the year after, sigh, etc..), and once again,
Hollywood is not willing to take a chance on something
original.
So, what does Steel Shank have to offer? Well, here’s
what’s visible to me right now…Steel Shank started as
far back as 2008, when the creator (JE) wanted to start
promoting 1950’s short films. The problem, copyright
issues. The project was shelved until such time the
copyrights could obtained.
2009, the copyrights are too expensive, so, (JE) begins
writing a screenplay for a feature length film, based
around the character, without the aid of the shorts.
2010, the film is too long, there are too many stories,
and the script is split up into short film length scripts.
Mid-2010, first half of Steel Shank is filmed just before
Allen Marsh moves to Los Angeles, California.
November 2010 – January 2011: Editing and effects are
added to current footage, and a teaser is put into
production.

What else? Shank is based off of
the 1950’s hero type’s and muted
actors who were Blacklisted,
during the communist debates
here in America. It is based in
modern, and past times. However,
Shank still remains the same, not
spreading values of good, but,
just being himself.
"Shank is based
And for what purpose? THAT, sadly, has not been
explained to me at this time. Oh-well.
What has been explained to me is Steel Shank, is not the
Full name of the Character. “Shank” is the last name of
the character, and “Steel” is the name of his ship. What
kind of ship? Metal and able to survive a vacuum
environment.
Will this be any good? Honestly, as a staff writer I’m
supposedly only supposed to promote Steel Shank,
however, as a reviewer, I can only say that there is not
enough information at this time to give 10 stars. So, I’ll
give my own thoughts. It's intriguing, as well as “Modern
and past”…It sounds almost like time travel, but, I’m not
sure. So, I give those 4 stars, and because the crew
assured me that it is not a Men in Black-Rip Off, but, an
Original Storyline, I’ll give that half a star, until I actually
see the teaser.
In March 2011, your valued impressions will be
appreciated with the first viewing of a teaser, which will
explain more, plus the series creator will discuss a little
more about Steel Shank. The second filming begins for
Steel Shank this summer in Los Angeles, California.
Already the film series has got backing, and Turning
Records will fund raising until the departure.
